About a year and a half has passed since the publication of the resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU "On measures for the further development of Soviet cinematography." The purpose of such meetings is the same: to find out the creative plans and artistic interests of each of the film masters, to be aware of their searches, aspirations, reflections in order to give maximum reality to long-term thematic programs, not to bureaucratize the process of controlling a promising program, to take into account the individual creative desires of artists.

The same purpose will be served by the introduction of contractual relations between studios and directors.
